Male Dogs Versus Female Dogs

Male and Female dogs have some unique differences. Just like humans! Whilst there are these stereotypes (we can’t escape them), there will always be an exception to the norm. Even between dog breeds there are some individual characteristics as well. When it comes to personality, even more so as every dog is unique. Especially when it comes to the Shiba Inu where their individualistic traits really shine through depending on their unique nature versus nurture. So let’s dive right into it.

As for Kuro, most of this is rather accurate. Unique traits of hers that are not listed:
CLEAN FREAK - From a very young age, she has been obsessed with things being cleaned. As a puppy, Kuro would often point with her nose when she has use the toilet (we live in an apartment - doesn’t happen now as she goes downstairs for a walk). She avoids mud, poo, puddles and even damp concrete floors (the dark spots) and whilst she hates showers, when it is time for her to shower, she will tell us too.
INDEPENDENT - Kuro has always been very independent, too independent, no separation anxiety at all and she’s fully capable of playing on her own when we are busy (or having dinner).
SMART - Kuro learns via observation all on her own. Recognizing certain behaviors like turning off the lights at night means bed time, she would automatically go to her bed when the lights are being switched off.
TRAINER - Not only was it a breeze to train her and she learns on her own, Kuro trains us. She gives us very distinct signs that means various things like “I need to pee”, “I need to poo”, “I want food”, “I want my Kuro Snacks”, “Can we go downstairs”.
So you would realize she’s good at telling us what she wants and she would look towards what she wants or points with her nose. Her latest trick that she learnt all on her own, is to nod when we ask her the golden question “Do you want some Kuro Snacks?” or “Do you want some milk?”! Every dog is truly unique with their own individual characteristics and behavior!
How about you?
